The Australian Outdoor Education Leadership Survey closing soon

A research study aimed at identifying the knowledge, skill and practical experience required of outdoor education leaders in Australia is currently underway.

Doctoral researcher, David Marsden from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, is calling on outdoor professionals from organisations that provide services to schools to participate in the Australian Outdoor Education Leadership Survey.  If you are an outdoor leader, educator, guide, instructor, coordinator or manager working in any context from residential camping to international expeditions then the survey is targeted at you.

University of the Sunshine Coast offers new double degree in Secondary Education, Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies.

Aspiring physical education teachers with a passion for the outdoors can now pursue their career path in a brand new double degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

USC’s new Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies will prepare students to teach health and physical education (HPE) in secondary schools, in addition to opening up career pathways in outdoor education centres, adventure tourism and ecotourism.
